Trevor Gregory

I'm Trevor — a data scientist, builder, and founder with a background that sits at the intersection of finance, analytics, and software. My path into data science came through finance. After five years in investment, holding four FINRA licenses, I started noticing that the most interesting problems weren't just about reading markets — they were about building the tools to understand them better. That pull toward the technical side led me toward a Graduate Certificate in Data Science and an MBA in Data Analytics. Alongside my academic work, I'm the founder of James Analytics, an AI-powered financial planning platform for small businesses. The work spans Python, PostgreSQL, cloud infrastructure, and LLM integrations — and has given me a lot of hands-on experience taking a product from schema design all the way through to deployment and iteration. I've also built autonomous AI agent systems for pipeline automation, explored computer vision applications using YOLOv8, and I'm currently developing an iOS app centered around habit formation and AI-driven goal decomposition. I like understanding systems at a root-cause level — not just making things run, but knowing why they run. That mindset shapes how I approach data, code, and products alike.
